JMR debuts BlueStor Digital Rapids and RED Video storage servers

JMR Electronics (http://www.jmr.com/), a provider of scalable storage
systems for video and data intensive applications, will be showcasing
their new BlueStor Digital Rapids and RED Video storage servers and
RAID storage systems at HD Expo— Createasphere on Wednesday, Nov.
4th and Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Burbank Marriott in Burbank,
California.

Among the latest BlueStor video storage offerings will be a 4U
rackmount Digital Rapids Video Server, an all-in-one high performance
encoding/transcoding solution designed for both standard and
high-definition projects. The system, a 16-bay RAID integrated with a
Digital Rapids’ StreamZHD Encoder, can capture HD or SD video in its
native format, or convert it in hardware during capture from HD to
SD, SD to HD, or between HD resolutions and frame rates. StreamZHD
can capture from live or tape-based sources to uncompressed files, or
encode directly to target formats at up to 1920×1080 resolution in
real time.

For the RED camera user, there’s JMR’s BlueStor RED Video Storage
Server, a 4U rackmount 16-bay RAID system with a variety of ingest
and output features. The system will be demonstrated as an ingest
server running Assimilate SCRATCH software.

The BlueStor FibreStream, Fibre Channel RAID system from JMR, will
also be on display at Stand 105. When added to an existing Storage
Area Network (SAN), the FibreStream solution becomes a highly
scalable system that can be configured for RAID levels 0, 1, 4, 5, 6,
10, 40, 50 or 60. BlueStor FibreStream features a built-in 4-port
4Gb FC switch.

The JMR BlueStor EXTN-8 is a PCIe Bus Extender with a built-in 16-bay
SAS/SATA hot-swap JBOD/RAID housed in a common 3U rackmount chassis.
It sports the added benefit of a JBOD/RAID storage subsystem in the
same chassis, capable of housing up to 32TB of SATA storage, and
expandable to 4PB (4,000TB).
