Mark/Space announces Mac synchronization support for Android

Mark/Space (http://www.markspace.com/android), creator of desktop and
handheld synchronization software, announced that they’re developing
an all-in-one desktop sync solution for phones powered by the Android
OS, such as the T-Mobile myTouch and HTC Hero.

The Missing Sync for Android will synchronize contacts and transfer
media files between an Android phone and a computer running Mac OS X,
Windows XP or Windows Vista, says Mark/Space CEO Brian Hall. He adds
that you’ll be able to sync s automatically and wirelessly whenever
the phone is near the computer.

Proximity Sync works even when the phone is in a backpack or pants
pocket. Microsoft Outlook, Entourage and Mac OS X Address Book stay
synchronized with an Android phone.

The Missing Sync also makes it easy to enjoy the rich media features
of Android powered phones, Hall says. iTunes and Windows Media Player
music playlists transfer via USB cable without a hitch using The
Missing Sync. You can transfer ringtones, photos and videos too.

The FolderSync feature copies folders of files and documents — PDF,
Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint — from a Mac or PC to an
Android phone to store and view. Preview versions of The Missing Sync
for Android will be available for download from the Mark/Space web
site next week, leading to a 1.0 release later in October.
