Raidon announces GearRAID multi-bay storage family

Raidon Technology (http://www.Raidon.com.tw) — which specializes in
small RAID storage design, development and manufacturing — has
launched the GearRAID multi-bay storage family, supporting two to
four-bay RAID or JBOD function. It’s designed to offer SOHO (small
office/home office) and office users a e solution for vital data
storage and audio/video editing.

The Raidon GearRAID multi-bay storage family includes 2-bay GR3630,
4-bay GR5630 and GT5630 offered with different RAID function, such as
RAID 1, 5 and JBOD. Equipped with the same tray module supporting
hot-swappable, hard drives can be replaced while the drive is full or
failed. All of them support 3.0Gb/second hard drive and backward
compatible.

Coming with strong Mirroring RAID (RAID 1) protection, 2-bay GR3630
duplicates data from one hard drive to the other instantly while
they’re saved on the device. RAIDGuide is supported to notify unusual
events through mail instantly. On the other hand, the 4-bay GR5630
supports RAID 5 to provide fault tolerance, which means you can lose
a single hard drive without loss of data. Both GR3630 and GR5630
provide eSATA, USB 2.0 and FireWire 800 interfaces.

What’s more, you can find a budget RAID solution in thte GearRAID
multi-Bay storage family. The GT5630 is a JBOD storage offered with a
four-in-one multiplier, providing a four-bay storage for data
