iBank for Mac OS X update sports over 30 enhancements, fixes

IGC Software (http://www.iggsoftware.com) has
released released iBank 3.5, a new version of its
financial management application for Mac OS X
10.5 (“Leopard”). The upgrade sports over 30
enhancements and fixes, including the ability to
sync with iBank Mobile for account updates on the
go.

While iBank has long had the ability to sync with
iPhones for customers using MobileMe accounts,
the new version will also allow iPhone sync via
Wi-Fi or any WebDAV server. The forthcoming iBank
Mobile, a native iPhone app (US$4.99) still “in
review” at the Apple App Store, will also be
required to take advantage of this feature.
According to IGG President Ian Gillespie other
highlights of iBank 3.5 include:

° Improved launched speed; faster searches;
improved speed for entering new transactions when
a user has multiple Smart Accounts; and fixes for
memory leaks;

° Added flexibility with the ability to assign
any amount to any split item, regardless of
whether the category is an expense or income
category; a new preference pane to set how
statements pull in transactions; and the ability
to exclude securities from quote updates;

° More support for Neat Receipts (to drag and
drop scanned PDFs); improved support for
multi-currency transfers, and better charting for
multi-currencies; and the ability to reconcile
both “sides” of a transfer independently.

iBank 3.5 costs USS$59.95. It’s a free update for
registered users of version 3.x. iBank for iPhone
requires a MobileMe account. The Mac version
requires Mac OS X 10.5 (“Leopard”).
