Software protection solution, CodeMeter, ready for Snow Leopard

At last week’s Apple World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC),
Wibu-Systems (http://www.wibu.com) presented the beta version of the
CodeMeter software protection solution for Mac OS X 10.6 (“Snow
Leopard”).

With a new release of AxProtector for Mac, CodeMeter — designed for
developers — offers protection of Mac OS applications and a
licensing system for distribution and protection against reverse
engineering of Mac OS applications. CodeMeter is available as a cross
platform solution for Mac OS as well as Linux, Sun Solaris and
Windows platforms.

CodeMeter offers the highest security possible through the use of
hardware (dongles) to store the license information, according to
Oliver Winzenried, CEO and founder of Wibu-Systems. What’s more, the
company offers CodeMeterAct; an activation-based system that can be
applied online completely without the use of dongles.

Software vendors not only benefit from protection of their
intellectual property but also from highly flexible license
management features including floating network licenses and license
borrowing, Winzenried says.
