CallWave launches Visual Voicemail for Apple products

CallWave today announced its portfolio of services for Mac users including its first Virtual Voicemail client running on Mac OS X Tiger or Leopard. “With CallWave, Mac users can enjoy ‘on-demand,’ anywhere access to voicemail with the ability to reply, archive and search messages –- in the same manner as email, SMS and IM,” said Jeff Cavins, CEO of CallWave. The service currently works on the iPhone with some restrictions. In Q1 2008, CallWave plans on delivering the ideal visual voicemail experience to iPhone users. Enhancing the handset’s embedded solution with CallWave Virtual Voicemail, iPhone users will be able to read voicemails –- as new voicemails are received, users will receive immediate CallWave Vtxt voicemail-to-text “gist” transcriptions, sent to the iPhone in one SMS.
