The Omni Group Announces OmniWeb 5.6

SEATTLE, Washington — October 25, 2007 — The Omni Group has announced a
new release of their power-user web browser: OmniWeb 5.6. With features
like visual tabs, workspaces for rapidly saving a snapshot of open web
pages, and a range of built-in online productivity tools, OmniWeb is the
tool of choice for people that want more from their browser. OmniWeb 5.6
improves on all this with a new browser engine for speed and performance, a
new inline PDF viewing feature, and new Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
compatibility.

“OmniWeb 5.6 is blazingly fast and supports many new web features, thanks
to a lot of great work by the WebKit team,” said Ken Case, CEO of the Omni
Group. “On top of this incredible engine, we provide our trademark visual
tabs, saved workspaces, keyword shortcuts, ad blocking, and much more.
We’re also excited to offer Leopard compatibility in OmniWeb 5.6, as well
as the new PDF inline view feature.”

OmniWeb 5.6 includes an all new version of WebKit, the industry- leading
open source web browser engine. The browser engine update provides a number
of speed and performance improvements while running OmniWeb 5.6 on both Mac
OS X 10.4 and Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard). OmniWeb 5.6 also makes viewing PDFs
much easier than in previous releases. With the new “PDF inline view”
feature, PDF documents open inside the browser, which reduces the number of
open windows and makes it easier to focus on accessing online content.

Other improvements in OmniWeb 5.6 include a new automatic software update
feature; new Chinese localization and updated French, German and Japanese
localizations; and improved plug-in and javascript performance. More
