BBEdit 8.7 now supports Lua and more

Bare Bones Software today announced the release of BBEdit 8.7, a significant update to its professional strength text editor. The 8.7 update introduces built-in support for the Lua programming language, brings significant improvements to the File Groups and Disk Browser workflow features, and powers the use of Finder Smart Folders as sources for Text Factory and for multi-file search operations. BBEdit 8.7 can now remember the open documents upon quitting and reopen the identical documents upon subsequent launch. Other notable revisions include an all-new Python language module which supports code folding, significant refinements to FTP/SFTP and Disk Browser windows, AppleScript improvements, and many others. The BBEdit 8.7 update is available free of charge to all registered BBEdit 8.5 and 8.6 customers.
