Knox 1.5 adds Full Disk Encryption

MK&C has released Knox 1.5, a significant upgrade to the Mac encryption and backup utility. The biggest change is Full Disk Encryption for non-boot volumes, implemented in a unique way. With Knox installed, users get the seamless experience of their encrypted drive “just working.” Without Knox, the data can still be accessed by double-clicking the image file, notes the company. It’s ideal for encrypting USB sticks and using them between several different Macs. Knox is priced at US$29.95, and requires Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later.
