Other World Computing (OWC) today announced that their 1GB, 2GB, and 3GB modules/upgrade kits are now available for Apple’s new MacBook 2.0GHz and 2.16GHz laptop models introduced yesterday. “Compared to the factory option cost of US$175 to upgrade from 1GB to 2GB, the OWC 2.0GB Memory upgrade kit (2 x 1GB Modules) offers considerable savings priced at just $99.97,” notes the company. In addition, OWC also offers a $20 rebate on the trade-in of 2 Apple 512MB memory modules, making the net cost almost $100 in savings. OWC’s 3GB Upgrade Kit is priced at $177.99 (less with trade-in).
