Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac enters beta testing

According to a report on TMCnet, Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac, which is due out later this year, has entered beta testing. “Part of our mission with Office 2008 is to expose all the things that are already there and make the product easier to use,” said Sheridan Jones, lead marketing manager for Microsoft’s MacBU, in a statement. Some of the features in the Mac version include: the Escher graphics engine that affords it special graphics functionalities (according to APC Magazine); a publishing-style layout view similar to iPhoto integration; Universal Binary support; and more.
