Soma Media and IDG World Expo today announced the release of MacworldEncore, the first suite of products enabling people to purchase Macworld Conference & Expo presentations online and on DVD-ROM. The first MacworldEncore DVD-ROM set features more than 80 presentations from January’s Conference and Expo in San Francisco. Each presentation includes full-screen PowerPoint slides, live demos and synchronized audio, searchable speaker bios and abstracts, and iPod and iPod video compatibility. The MacworldEncore Online product features the same content and functionality, but further enables people to download presentations individually and immediately from the Web. The cost for individual presentations ranges between US$5 and $30, and the DVD-ROM set costs $299.
