My Dream App begins unveiling finalists

My Dream App, an online competition in which contestants compete for the chance to have their ideas realized as a Macintosh shareware application, announced its first batch of finalists today. Since launching two weeks ago, My Dream App has drawn over 2,700 idea submissions. “Two dozen finalists will battle for the praise of over 40 high-profile guest judges, including Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Digg founder Kevin Rose and Delicious Library developer Wil Shipley. Ultimately, software lovers all over the world will vote to decide which three finalists win the right to see their dream app realized. When the contest is over, three teams of veteran developers and designers will develop winning ideas into full-blown Mac apps.”
