WiebeTech has launched its new CD/DVD Imager robot which automatically images and archives CDs and DVDs to hard disk, takes a picture of each CD/DVD and stores it with the disc image. “The robot is easy to use. Load it up and let it fly. It automatically images and archives CDs and DVDs to hard disk. A camera mounted to the top of the robot takes a photo of the disc, since a picture comes in handy when trying to match up a disc image with physical evidence,” notes the company. The CD/DVD Imager ships two weeks after an order is received for US$2,399.95 in a lab version. A portable version, permanently attached within a Pelican case, is priced at $2,699.95, and will be available in the near future.
