Gideon Softworks has updated two of its Mac utilities — FileXaminer 2.5.6 and Dock-It 2.4.7. FileXaminer (US$10) allows users to modify file and folder attributes that the Finder cannot, such as Type/Creator Info, UNIX permissions, and more. Version 2.5.6 offers a smaller application size and fixes several reported issues. Dock-It ($10) is a multifunctional launcher and Finder enhancer for Mac OS X. It allows users to have multiple Docks, a shelf space features that can be used to streamline drag and drop of files/folders, and much more. Version 2.4.7 offers better iPod support and fixes several minor issues.
