Maplesoft announces support for the Intel-based Macs

Maplesoft today announced the availability of a port that allows Maple 10 to run natively on Apple’s new Intel-based Macs. Maple 10, Maplesoft’s flagship product, is an intuitive tool for solving complex mathematical problems and creating rich, executable technical documents. Maple users operating on the Intel-based Mac platform will benefit from significantly reduced start-up times, improved speed in rendering 2-D mathematics, and real-time 3-D plot manipulation that is both faster and smoother, notes the company. All of the capabilities of Maple are fully supported, affording Intel-based Mac users access to all of the same features that PowerPC-based Mac users enjoy. The new update will be available early this month.
