SMS Mac adds AppleScript support

April 18, 2006 — SMS Mac goes Universal and now supports AppleScript. With
SMS Mac you can send a text message (SMS) to any mobile in the world.

Simultaneously available are Send SMS 1.6, the award-winning Dashboard
widget, the Send SMS 1.6 Yahoo! Widget for Windows XP and the SMS Mac 1.6
Address Book plug-in. All versions are now Universal Binaries, meaning they
run native on Intel Macs. Also new is support for email2SMS gateways in the
US.

Newly released today is the SMS Mac Scripting Application 1.0. You can now
send a text message (SMS) from an AppleScript. You can use it, for example,
with iCal. You can configure iCal and SMS Mac to send yourself an SMS to
remind you of an important meeting. On a Mac OS X server, you can use it to
send the system administrator an SMS alert when a certain condition occurs.
Several example scripts are included.

Pricing:

Use of the SMS Mac software costs $10 USD per year and each SMS costs only
10 cents. The first purchase costs $15 USD and includes 50 SMSs.

Yahoo! Widget: Mac OS X 10.3 / Windows XP
Address Book Plug-in: Mac OS X 10.3 or higher.
SMS Mac Scripting Addition: Mac OS X 10.3 or higher.
