Rage Software today announced the availability of Macintosh Explorer 4.4, an update to the tabbed file browser and file management tool for Mac OS X. This free update adds a new compact list view to maximize the amount of files displayed on screen as well as improves the updating of folder listings when items are moved, copied or renamed in the Finder. Macintosh Explorer requires Mac OS 9.x and Mac OS X 10.2 or later, and is priced at US$15.95. A free trial is available.
