Griffin Technology announces XpressCable

Griffin Technology today announced the release of XpressCable (US$19.99), an accessory for the new Mac mini and iPod Hi-Fi. “With Griffin XpressCable, Apple’s iPod Hi-Fi stereo, and an AirPort Express Base Station, you can stream audio over your network via AirTunes. When the audio is sent to iPod Hi-Fi using XpressCable, only digital signals are sent — there is no compromise in audio quality. It’s the perfect solution for pristine audio throughout the home.” In addition, the XpressCable connects the Mac mini to a home entertainment system, “allowing the transfer of audio signals with digital clarity. The optical connection means users can enjoy CDs, DVDs, and iTunes library, all with the best possible audio reproduction, and with the convenience of Apple’s Front Row interface.”
