SearchlightRSS today announced the launch of Searchlight, an application for Mac OS X (version 10.4.4 and higher) that enables users to search for documents stored on their network file servers through a Web interface. Searchlight is powered by Apple’s Spotlight technology, and also allows users to subscribe to their documents. Powered by RSS technology users will be informed whenever documents are changing or when new ones are created. Saved Searches and usage of Apple’s Bonjour technology are further features of the utility. Searchlight is priced at US$29.90.
