Alco Blom, developer of the popular URL Manager Pro, today announced the availability of SMS Mac 1.5. SMS Mac is an Address Book plug-in, Dashboard widget, and Yahoo! widget that allows users to easily enter an SMS message and send it to any mobile number world-wide through the Internet. A mobile phone is not required. SMS Mac supports Flash SMS (Europe only), Unicode and long messages (concatenated SMS), and Caller ID (not in the US). Version 1.5 adds the ability to receive an SMS reply via the user’s email address, and adds new help documentation. SMS Mac requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later and is priced at €10 per year with each SMS costing €0.10.
