Microsoft set to release mouse, keyboard for the Mac

According to a report on TechWeb, Microsoft today said it plans to release a mouse and keyboard combo specifically designed for the Mac — for the first time this summer. The package carries a suggested retail price of US$99.95. “Microsoft, however, could not get permission to use the Apple logo normally found on a key at the bottom left of an Apple keyboard, so the key will have a clover instead,” notes the report. “There are certain features Mac users want that are missing in one keyboard targeting both (platforms),” a Microsoft spokeswoman said. TechWeb reports that the keyboard “will feature Microsoft’s curvy, ergonomic design that provides a more natural fit for the hand.” In addition, the new mouse will offer Microsoft’s “high-definition laser technology.”
