CRYPTO-Server 6.4 Eliminates Weak Static Passwords

CRYPTOCard DEMONSTRATES FASTER, EASIER, SMALLER AND MORE SECURE TWO-FACTOR
AUTHENTICATION SOLUTION FOR OS X PANTHER AND TIGER

CRYPTO-Server 6.4 Eliminates Weak Static Passwords That Leave Network
Assets Exposed To Enormous Risk

MacWorld Expo, San Francisco, January 9, 2006 CRYPTOCard
(http://www.cryptocard.com/), the leading Mac authentication technology
developer, today announced that it will be demonstrating its
soon-to-be-released CRYPTO-Server 6.4 authentication solution at Macworld
Expo 2006 (Booth 1642). CRYPTO-Server 6.4 makes it simple to protect LAN,
VPN, web-based (Apache and II S), and desktop access for OS X
(Panther/Tiger). Now fully compatible with Tiger’s support for Smart Cards,
this new standard in Two-Factor Authentication adds strength with Apple
Keychain Authentication, flexibility with Disconnected Authentication, and
administrator-bliss with support for heterogeneous computing environments.

Already a MacWorld best of show winner, this upgrade, a native OS X
(Panther/Tiger) solution, will allow organizations to positively identify
users attempting to access a workstation, network, or website via any
access point desktop, LAN, VPN or web-based access. With CRYPTOCard’s
familiar ATM-like logon, access/authentication is handled with
One-PIN-And-You=92re-InTM ease.

In response to market interest, CRYPTO-Server 6.4 offers many new features,
including:

* A new M2M (machine to machine) architecture – a much faster, smaller
footprint solution that improves user and system admin experience

* Apple’s convenient Keychain app manages all of a user’s important and
private passwords but is only protected by a static password itself
CRYPTO-Server 6.4 protects Keychain with a 2nd authentication and guards
these valuable corporate and personal assets

* In this era of the deployed workforce, protection for a mobile
workstation (laptop) is needed even when connection to the CRYPTO-Server is
not possible. CRYPTO-Server 6.4 provides client-based Disconnected
Authentication=92 that can take place when the server is not detected

When you examine network trends across all industries, it is clear that we
have truly entered the age of the heterogeneous network, where (for
example) Mac workstations live in a Windows domain often with a combination
of Linux and Windows clients with web support from an Apache web server
CRYPTO-Server 6.4 now supports this type of heterogeneous environment.

Specifically designed to integrate with Tiger’s robust support for smart
cards, CRYPTO-Server 6.4 Smart Card Tokens offer organizations the
opportunity to implement a single authenticator=92 for photo ID, building,
door, and, of course, network access.

CRYPTOCard Demonstrates CRYPTO-Server 6.4 for OS X Panther and Tiger at
Macworld Conference and Expo 2006

“Understanding that an organization cannot guarantee system security if it
cannot positively authenticate each individual user, CRYPTOCard has built
on its Macworld 2004 “Best of Show” award with our new fully-integrated
enterprise-class solution,” commented Malcolm MacTaggart, President & CEO,
CRYPTOCard Corporation. “CRYPTO-Server 6.4 for OS X now makes it simple for
organizations to provide true ATM-style One-PIN-and-You=92re-In=92
enterprise-class strong user authentication for LAN, VPN, Web, or remote
system access.”

As a Macworld Special, a five-user bundle (all-you-need-in-1-box the full
server software plus five tokens) is available at 50% savings for only $249
U.S. (SRP). CRYPTOCard’s products are available from Apple’s Federal
Website and via distributors, integrators, and resellers in over 70
countries worldwide. For more information on CRYPTO-Server 6.4 for OS X,

About Token Based, Two-Factor Authentication

CRYPTOCard’s authentication solution requires two levels of proof=92 of
identity: 1) Something a user has a CRYPTOCard Token that generates a
one-time password. 2) Something a user knows a secret PIN that is only
used to enable the token. The benefits include: A lost token is useless
without the PIN; a stolen or shoulder surfed PIN is useless without the
token. A lost token is readily noticed and can be easily revoked; each
generated password is used only once and will never work again tokens stay
in synch with the CRYPTO-Server to manage this process the result
passwords cannot be stolen, shared, written down or stuck to the side of a
monitor.

About CRYPTO-Server

The CRYPTO-Server is the authentication hub of the solution and includes
several components: CRYPTO-Logon for desktop and LAN authentication;
CRYPTO-VPN (Supports Apple and Cisco) for remote authentication; CRYPTO-Web
(supports Apache and II S Web Servers) for website and web portal
authentication; CRYPTO-Kit which provides developers with the tools to
easily integrate CRYPTOCard’s technology with existing security
applications/systems; CRYPTO-Deploy to facilitate the deployment and
activation of tokens; CRYPTO-Migration, which provides RSA Migration
functionality that enables organizations to easily switch from an
alternative system; and CRYPTO-Console, the Admin interface that
facilitates, deployment and revocation of tokens, control of configurable
elements, and tracking/reporting functions.

About CRYPTOCard Tokens

An industry leader in Token options, CRYPTOCard can work with you,
flexibly, to determine the best solution for your workforce. Options
include two varieties of Hardware Tokens (Key Chain and Calculator styles)
and several software options including Smart Card, USB, SMS and Pocket PC
Software Tokens. Different tokens provide different levels of mobility and
convenience. Tokens are available in bulk but also as 5-Token kits that
include full CRYPTO-Server software, a 5-seat license and 5 tokens (choose
any one variety or a sample pack to test 5 different token types). Kits are
affordably priced and can be added on as needed allowing for a staged
implementation.

Technology to leading enterprises worldwide in the government, technology,
aerospace, financial, education, telecommunications, and healthcare
sectors. Winner of the “Best of Show,” award at Macworld 2004, CRYPTOCard
positively authenticates a user’s identity by coupling something in the
user’s possession (a smart card, hardware token, or software token), with
something the user knows (their PIN), and provides centralized
authentication for all physical and network access regardless of network
infrastructure or user location. CRYPTOCard’s partners include Cisco
(Nasdaq: CSCO), Check Point (Nasdaq: CHKP), Citrix (Nasdaq: CTXS), Entrust
