Small Tree to Support PCI Express

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SMALL TREE COMMUNICATIONS TO ANNOUNCE INITIAL SUPPORT FOR PCI-E ON POWER
MAC AT MACWORLD 2006

Support to Provide Higher Performance, Lower Cost Solution

Chippewa Valley, WI, December 29, 2005-Small Tree Communications, leading
manufacturer and designer of high performance networking products for Mac
OS X, will remain on the forefront of leading edge technology for Apple
users by being the first company to offer support for the PCI Express
(PCI-E) IO Bus included in the recently announced Power Mac lineup. Product
support availability from Small Tree is scheduled for early 1Q 2006.

Designed to match the higher speeds of today’s CPUs, PCI-E provides users
with higher performance, lower cost solutions. PCI-E offers a high-speed,
switched architecture, can accommodate GbE and 10GbE and generally provides
higher average sustained throughput than a PCI-X design.

“Small Tree Communications is committed to being at the forefront of
networking technology for the Apple platform and first to market with
unique networking products,” stated Corky Seeber, president of Small Tree.
“Small Tree was first to the Mac market with IEEE 802.3ad Ling Aggregation,
10Gb Ethernet, copper and optical multi-port GbE interfaces and we are now
proud to be the first to offer PCI Express support to the Mac community.”
