Mulberry maker Cyrusoft files for Chapter 7 bankruptcy

Cyrusoft International, Inc./ISAMET has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Cyrusoft was the maker of Mulberry, a cross-platform email client software application with enterprise calendaring and scheduling functionality. The company says that they have no immediate plans to release the source code due to several complications, but the Web site and mailing lists will remain open for a little while, so customers can discuss the event there. Cyrusoft released new versions of the software yesterday, which they hope should continue to work effectively for some time. Cyrus Daboo has posted a letter discussing the issue on the company Web site. [Thanks to MacMinute reader Loren Olson for this news tip.]
