Fujitsu unveils Mac-compatible scanner

Fujitsu today unveiled its first scanner compatible with Macintosh. The Fujitsu ScanSnap scanning solution supporting Mac OS X version 10.4 allows users to convert paper documents to Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files that can be organized, shared and protected.  In addition, the scanner features Fujitsu ScanSnap 50-page automatic document feeder (ADF). The ScanSnap is a compact, upright, “one-button” scanner which allows users to scan at speeds up to 15 pages per minute (PPM) for single-sided documents and 30 images per minute (IPM) for double-sided documents. The ScanSnap is available now for US$495.
