MyMac.com launches Hurricane Katrina support effort

Our colleagues at MyMac.com have initiated a relief effort for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Their goal is to raise as much money as possible to give to the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army to aid it the recovery. “To raise money, we are asking the Macintosh community to visit the page and buy something from the many companies who are working with us in this effort,” notes the site. “Many companies have graciously donated either software or hardware for us to sell, at a reduced price, with every dollar going to charity. Without the support of these companies providing their merchandise, we would have nothing to sell, or raise as much money as we would hope to.”
