ADC launches new Developer Transition Resource Center

Apple has launched its new Developer Transition Resource Center (DTRC) providing resources to developers preparing for their transition to Intel-based Macs. The DTRC includes documentation and other resources, new technical articles, and five technical sessions from Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2005. It provides information on the transition, offers practical guidance on what the transition means for an application, and read the stories of other developers who have already completed transition projects. In addition, the Apple Developer Connection has published “Adopting Universal Binaries,” which teaches users how to build universal binaries, a new file format that allows an application to run on both PowerPC-based Macs and Intel-based Macs.
