Macromedia today announced Studio 8, Flash Professional 8, Dreamweaver 8, Fireworks 8, and Flash Player 8. Dreamweaver 8, the latest version of the company’s Web design and development application, will be available in September for US$399 for a full license ($199 upgrade). Fireworks 8, a solution for creating and optimizing high-quality, lightweight graphics and images for the Web, will be available next month for $299 for a full license ($149 upgrade). Flash Player 8, Macromedia’s Flash Player client runtime, is free of charge and is available now. Flash Professional 8, the latest version of the Flash authoring tool, will ship in September for $699 for a full license ($299 upgrade). Macromedia Studio 8, which combines Dreamweaver, Flash Professional, and Fireworks in one package, will also ship in September for $999 for a full license ($399 upgrade).
