Analyst sees ‘halo effect’ working for Apple

A report on MarketWatch today notes that Richard Chu, an analyst with SG Cohen, said that a recent survey of 1,400 consumers in the US has “caused him to become more positive” about Apple’s shares, citing iPod’s high market share is increasing sales of Mac systems. He also looked favorably on the strong sales of Mac OS X Tiger. “Chu currently estimates Apple will earn 31 cents a share on $3.33 billion in revenue when it reports third-quarter results on Wednesday,” notes the story.
