New Smart Label Printers now offer Mac support

Seiko Instruments USA today announced it is expanding its flagship line of single label printers with three new additions that support Mac users for the first time. The SLP 410 (US$99), 420 ($129) and 430 ($179) Smart Label Printers require Mac OS X 10.2 or later, feature a new industrial design and offer full-functionality single label printing at comparable or lower price points than competitive offerings, the company says. Seiko’s Smart Label Printers allow users to create one label at a time for envelopes, files, storage boxes, floppy or Zip disks, video cassettes, 35mm slides, bar codes and a variety of other office and home applications. The company plans to display the new models, which start shipping June 30, at Macworld Expo in Boston from July 11 to 14 (booth # 221). Editor’s Note: MacMinute reader Ralph Fontcuberta pointed out to us that the Mac software is still in beta.
