PalmOne CEO resigns; former Handspring exec takes over

PalmOne said late yesterday that CEO Todd Bradley is stepping down next month. “President Ed Colligan, 43, was named interim CEO and a candidate for the permanent position, said the Milpitas handheld-device maker. Colligan is a co-founder of the original Palm, who left to start Handspring and returned when Palm acquired Handspring last year. Some analysts said Colligan–the original head of marketing for Palm–could have the vision that palmOne needs to compete in the growing smart-phone space.”
