SiteGrinder creates Web sites from Photoshop designs

Media Lab has announced SiteGrinder 1.0, a new Web site production plug-in for Adobe Photoshop. SiteGrinder creates a site by using a method of adding one-word hints, such as “rollover” or “menu,” to the names of layers in a Photoshop design file. SiteGrinder generates styled and scrolling text, rollover buttons, popups, multi-level menus, and more. “The elegance of SiteGrinder’s basic idea–that naming Photoshop layers is a great way to indicate the intended functions of those layers–produces an unusual combination of both power and simplicity,” explains Media Lab president Tom Summerall. SiteGrinder is available for Mac OS X running Photoshop 6.0 or higher. It is priced at US$99.
