Ampede intros PDF plug-in for Final Cut Pro HD

Ampede today introduced Ampede PDF, a software plug-in that brings continuous rasterization of Adobe Illustrator artwork to Final Cut Pro HD, a capability previously only available in dedicated compositors like Adobe After Effects. “Ampede PDF renders vector content from Adobe Illustrator and PDF files frame by frame, so the artwork is always sharp regardless of scale, movement, or rotation,” according to the developers. The US$99 plug-in is optimized for both G4 and G5 processors and offers ColorSync support, Velocity Engine acceleration, multi-threading, sub-pixel rendering, non-square pixel support, field rendering, and a Cocoa-based GUI available inside Final Cut Pro.
