Euro iTunes stores to get music from indie labels

Apple is close to a deal with independent record labels that will allow its European iTunes Music Stores to sell their tracks, The Times newspaper reported on Monday. “Citing sources close to the talks, the newspaper said a pact could be announced on Tuesday, ending a feud that has kept independent labels off iTunes since its launch in the UK, France and Germany last month. Independent labels in Europe orginally chose not to release artists on to iTunes because of what they thought were terms inferior to deals offered to major record companies, The Times said.”
