Tiger makes computers more ‘usable, appealing’

With the unveiling of Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) at this week’s Apple Worldwide Developer Conference, the company “showed the world how to make computers more usable and appealing,” Peter Burrows writes in the “Byte of the Apple” column for BusinessWeek Online. However, “don’t expect Tiger to boost the piddling 2 percent market share Apple has in operating systems,” he adds. “But ultimately, its innovations always seem to find their way into general usage.”
