Reuters: ‘Apple shuns video iPod’

This will not be any great surprise to Mac users who follow Apple news on a regular basis, but Apple has no immediate plans to market a video iPod and analysts agree, reports Reuters. Apple CEO Steve Jobs told David Pogue in an interview for The New York Times in January, “Now, I’m not saying we’re not working on something like that. Who knows what we’ve got in our labs?” Reuters has spoken with several industry analysts on the matter, who share their viewpoints on the likelihood of a seeing a video iPod released out of Cupertino. The report also notes that Apple’s head of hardware product marketing Greg Joswiak told Reuters last week that Apple has no plans yet for a video iPod.
