Kano Technologies has introduced the SureFIRE800, an ultra-small (3.25 x 5.25 x .75 inches) external hard drive with storage capacity of up to 80GB. The hard drive offers a 5400 RPM 8MB cache and FireWire 800/400 and USB 2.0 interfaces, allowing data transfer rates of up to 800 Mb/second. The SureFIRE800 comes with Dantz Retrospect Express backup software for Macs. It is available in four models: a 20GB drive for US$249; a 40GB drive for $289; a 60GB drive for $339; and an 80GB drive for $399.
