Ovolab today released RemoteTunes 1.5, the remote control software for iTunes applications running on a network. Using RemoteTunes, users can play songs on any Mac they are authorized to log in to — whether on the local network or on the Internet — and the audio will play from the remote computer’s speakers. Other features include the ability to create and edit playlists, rate songs, turn visual effects on or off, and more. Version 1.5 offers better editing features and full support for the latest versions of iTunes and Mac OS X. RemoteTunes requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later and is priced at US$15.
