Apple ranks 23rd in consumer electronics sales

Thanks to amazing iPod sales and its growing retail presence, Apple moved from 34th to 23rd on the TWICE Top 100 CE Retailers Report with US$746 million in 2003 consumer electronics sales, a 94.8 percent increase over 2002. Apple made the list for the first time last year with $383 million in sales. The top ten retailers (in order) were: Best Buy ($19.5 billion), Wal-Mart ($15.7 billion), Circuit City ($9.75 billion), Dell ($6.26 billion), Target ($4.96 billion), RadioShack ($4.6 billion), Staples ($4.02 billion), CompUSA ($4.01 billion), Sam’s Club ($2.76 billion), and Office Depot ($2.59).
