Medical office software coming to Mac OS X

HealthWare Communications, which recently announced plans for dental software for the Mac, is also developing HWMD, a medical management software package for Mac OS X. The software, developed with the Cocoa development environment, will take advantage of the “unique capabilities” of Mac OS X, including “stability, security and graphics for digital imaging and video,” according to Michael Edwards, founder of HealthCare Communications and the original developer of MediMac and ChiroMac for the Mac. The company has set up a technical support department to support MediMac and ChiroMac users during the interim development period of HWMD.
