NY Daily News: ‘Giant success for iPod Mini’

In an article published today in the New York Daily News, Nancy Dillon comments on the success of Apple’s recent launch (January 20) of the iPod mini, a slimmed down version of the world’s most popular MP3 player, the iPod. “Apple said it had 100,000 pre-orders for the iPod Mini leading up to its launch. By comparison, the original white iPod sold 125,000 units its first three months on the market in 2001,” notes Dillon. The iPod mini is in very short supply these days, however, with many resellers completely sold out. “The response to the Mini has been phenomenal,” said Apple spokeswoman Danika Cleary in the story.
