Jobs a ‘WIRED Renegade of the Year’ nominee

Steve Jobs, CEO of both Apple and Pixar, is a nominee for “Wired Renegade of the Year” in the latest Wired Rave Awards. The honor goes to “the person who had the most significant cultural impact in the wired world in 2003.” Other nominees for “Renegade of the Year” are: aerospace maverick Burt Rutan; Linus Torvalds, Open Source Development Lab Fellow; Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis of Skype, a company that develops free software for making free Internet phone calls. Wired editors solicit input from readers and take their votes into account in choosing the Wired Renegade of the Year.
