Adobe has started shipping the InDesign CS PageMaker Edition software (see related story), an InDesign CS extension to help PageMaker users transition to the newer layout and design package. The new release includes a full version of InDesign CS and a PageMaker Plug-in Pack that includes designer templates, keyboard shortcuts and training materials. Customers who already have InDesign CS can download the PageMaker Plug-in Pack directly from Adobe. For others, InDesign CS PageMaker Edition for Mac OS X (and Windows) is available immediately to customers in the U.S. and Canada. For licensed users of Adobe PageMaker (any version) it has an estimated street price of US$349 — you’ll need a valid PageMaker serial number for installation. InDesign CS PageMaker Edition will be available to educators (with any registered version of PageMaker) for $219.
