USA Today columnist on GarageBand

On the USA Today Web site today, personal technology columnist Edward C. Baig puts GarageBand, Apple’s new music creation software, through its paces. In “Hey groupies, I’m gonna be a rock star,” Baig gives GarageBand 3.5 stars out of 4, citing “Clever program lets you record, mix and arrange your own compositions,” for the pro comments, and “Can be taxing on your computer,” for the cons. “I’m most intrigued by the new fifth member of the iLife ensemble. Indeed, with GarageBand, Apple transforms a Mac into a clever virtual recording studio and thus transforms you into Quincy Jones,” writes Baig.
