Dean’s ‘YAAARRHHH’ is fodder for GarageBand

Apple’s new GarageBand application made it easy for some folks to have a little fun with part of U.S. Democratic Presidential candidate Howard Dean’s much-talked about speech Monday evening. The Wall Street Journal notes that “the day after the Iowa caucuses, St. Louis resident Jonathan Barlow, 29 years old, used the home-music software to create a techno-inflected song incorporating an edited and reshuffled version of Dean’s larynx-busting concession speech… The personal Web site of Minneapolis Star-Tribune columnist James Lileks features a similar piece of music, entitled “Yeagh“—a phonetic rendering of one of the less-articulate moments in the former Vermont governor’s wildly controversial statement.”
