Apple on Monday released Power Mac G5 Firmware Update 5.1.4 via the Mac OS X Software Update preference pane. According to the release notes, the 1.3MB download provides performance improvements for some PCI-X configurations, patches a security hole and improves fan behavior in Open Firmware.
