Big Brother watching you at Apple Stores?

Apple uses a sophisticated video-monitoring system to automatically count the number of customers who enter Apple Stores across the U.S., and to document their behavior once inside, according to a Wired article. Apple uses a system from ShopperTrak to count the number of people passing a store, the percentage who enter, and the percentage of those who make a purchase. An Apple spokeswoman confirmed that the company tracks consumer traffic and buying patterns, but wouldn not give further details.
