Peachpit Releases Mac OS X Panther Titles For Users of All Levels
Includes new editions of best-sellers from Scott Kelby, Robin Williams, and
Maria Langer

BERKELEY, Calif.-Peachpit Press unveiled the first of its seven Mac OS X
Panther titles with the release of Maria Langer’s Mac OS X 10.3 Panther:
Visual QuickStart Guide on November 15, 2003. Mac OS X 10.3 Panther: Visual
QuickStart Guide (0321213513, $24.99), which follows Peachpit’s time-tested
Visual QuickStart Guide recipe of task-based, step-by-step instructions, has
been expanded to include chapters on networking, security, Unix, the Classic
environment, utilities, and system preferences. While previous editions of
this book have been best-sellers, this edition packs a double punch by
combining the simplicity of the Visual QuickStart with the advanced skills
of the Visual QuickPro Guide-essentially offering two books in one!

Respected Mac authors Scott Kelby and Robin Williams will also pen revisions
for Peachpit’s Panther line-up with Kelby’s Mac OS X Panther Killer Tips
(0735713936, $29.99) set to release in late December. True to Kelby form, it
contains all the tips expert Mac users need to work efficiently and faster
with Panther. Kelby is also behind the ultimate upgrade guide, The Mac OS X
Conversion Kit: 9 to 10 Side by Side, Panther Edition (0735713898,
$29.99)-releasing in early January. The Robin Williams Mac OS X Book,
Panther Edition (0321232968, $29.99), set to release in mid-December, covers
Panther basics while also giving users a gentle introduction to new and
improved features, including Finder, Expose, iChat AV, and Safari’s improved
Web access.

The rest of the Peachpit Panther line-up, scheduled to release in early
2004, offers support to advanced users with Mac OS X Hands-on-Training
(0321241711, $44.99), Mac OS X Server 10.3 Panther: Visual QuickPro Guide
(0321242521, $24.99), and the update to Ted Landau’s best-selling
troubleshooting guide, Mac OS X Help Desk, Panther Edition (0321193873,
$34.99).
