Australian Apple reseller moves to PC sales

Australian Apple retailer NextByte is planning to sell its own brand of PCs in the first of what it hopes will be a national chain of Windows-compatible outlets, Australian IT reports. “The PC business would allow the company to capitalize on relationships formed through the Mac operation and the NBPC-branded machines would be cheaper than the HP and Toshiba hardware in the store. Key markets would be schools, universities and small businesses.”
